Event: Embedding QAA Subject Benchmark Changes into the Social Policy Curriculum (Online, Thursday, 6th November)

As the consultation on the revised Subject Benchmark Statement (SBS) for Social Policy is ongoing, the SPA would like to invite all members with an interest in teaching and learning to an online session on Thursday, 6th November, 12.30-13.30, with a focus on embedding likely changes emerging out of the new statement into the curriculum.

The focus of this exploratory meeting will be to discuss key elements of the revised SBS, and to identify opportunities and potential practical challenges with updating curricula. Based on this discussion, the SPA is planning to run a short series of workshops on the new SBS once these are confirmed in early 2026, offering practical guidance and advice to course/programme leaders, module leaders and anyone teaching social policy at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
