Social Policy Review is inviting expressions of interest from colleagues to take on the role of editor for a three year term covering annual issues 36, 37 and 38.
Social Policy Review, published by Policy Press, provides an important resource for SPA members and the wider social policy academic community. The publication has traditionally included critical summaries of annual developments in key policy domains that can support teaching, learning and research, as well as selections of current cutting-edge research in Social Policy in the UK and internationally. In the past SPR has also included annual themed sections which focus on topics of interest. See https://policypress.co.uk/social-policy-review
The appointed Editorial Team (normally three people) will be under contract to Policy Press and will report to the Social Policy Association Executive Committee. It is expected that the successful candidate/s will shadow/work in collaboration with the existing co-editors for a period of one year to ensure a smooth handover.
Application process:
Applications are invited from potential editors and we strongly encourage early career researchers and scholars to apply. The Editorial team will report in writing to each quarterly SPA Executive Committee meeting on SPR development and progress.
Applications should apply with a covering letter outlining what the applicant would bring to the role and a CV to Ruggero Cefalo: ruggero.cefalo@univie.ac.at
Application deadline:
5pm Monday 6th September 2022.
Applications will be shortlisted by a sub-committee of the Executive Committee with the outcome announced and editorship awarded by the end of September 2022.
