Event: Pathways to Publication: Insights from Social Policy and Society

Interested in publishing your research in Social Policy and Society (SP&S)? Join the Social Policy Association Employment Policy Group and the SP&S editorial team for an online discussion exploring the publishing process and showcasing recent employment policy research published in the journal.

The session will begin with an introduction to SP&S from a journal editor, including practical advice on preparing and submitting manuscripts, proposing themed sections, navigating peer review, and understanding what editors look for in successful submissions.

We will then hear from Employment Policy Group members who have recently published in the journal. Through reflections on a themed section contribution and a standalone empirical article, speakers will share their experiences of developing, submitting and publishing their work, offering valuable insights for both new and experienced researchers.

The event will conclude with an open Q&A, providing an opportunity to ask questions about publishing, peer review and engaging with the journal.

This event will be of particular interest to early career researchers and those with an employment focus. However, all social policy researchers are welcome.
