Each year the SPA is one of the learned societies invited to nominate colleagues for Fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences. We made a nomination before Christmas for Nick Bailey, Professor of Urban Studies at the University of Glasgow, to become a Fellow, and we have just heard that the nomination has been supported by AcSS, with the Award of Fellow having been conferred by the Council of the Academy.
The SPA Executive would like to send our warmest congratulations to Nick on this much-deserved award. We will be in touch with members in due course to seek future nominations – keep an eye on SPA Online for communications.
