Academics at University of York and University of Sheffield invite all PGRs and ECRs interested in policy to join a free one-day event, “Facilitating Interdisciplinary Communication between Social Policy and Scientific Research”.
Titled ‘Social Policy Research Summit’, the event will bring together social science/humanities early career researchers / PGRs interested in policy (e.g. politics/international relations, social/public policy, public administration, management, human geography etc) with ECR/PGR scientists (e.g. STEM) to bridge the gap between scientific evidence and policy making.
The meeting takes place at the Idea Space, University of Sheffield on 11th December 2023, and is supported by a Social Policy Association Opportunities Grant as well as the Grantham Centre for Sustainable Futures.
Speakers include Professor Anthony Ryan OBE of University of Sheffield, Dr Kristoffer Kortsen of University of Manchester, and a senior member of the Social Policy Association. The event will include several skill-building activities as well as networking opportunities and lunch.
