The Social Policy Association (SPA) warmly congratulates our members, Professor Huck-ju Kwon and Professor Catherine Needham, on their appointment as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. We also extend congratulations to the other 39 leading social scientists newly conferred with this recognition.
Academy Fellows are conferred following an independent peer review process by the Academy’s Nominations Committee which recognises their excellence, impact, and wider contributions.

“We are delighted that the Academy has recognised the valuable contributions made by Professor Kwon and Professor Needham to Social Policy and social sciences for the public benefit. Professor Huck-ju Kwon has contributed an outstanding body of research to the field of international and comparative social policy. Professor Catherine Needham has made an outstanding contribution through work on social care across the UK and innovations in public services.
